Bottle O’ Cinn

A few weeks back I wrote a post for Gapers Block called Fallin’ for Pumpkin Cocktails.  Funny how something that starts off as… shall we say a mishap turns into a stocked bar.

Let me explain.

When I originally planned my article for Gapers Block, I wanted to find local, hip places in Chicago that had seasonal drinks.  After falling flat on my face, I went to Binny’s to look for something – anything – to make my article work.

I found Pumpkin Spice Liqueur, thought what the heck, bought it and came home and played around with what I had in my kitchen and the recipes online.

I end up with some cocktails – to be honest – I probably would have never opted for if out on the town. I’m a Cosmo / Vodka-Cran kinda-girl for the most part. But there is something exciting about being your own bartender, creating something new at home.

After my article went “live” on Gapers Block I was contact by Stephanie from NOVA Marketing.  These folks handle marketing and consulting for clients in the beer, wine, and spirits industry and they total fell for my pumpkin cocktails or rather they fell for my post on their recipes :)  Stephanie offered to send me some samples of their newest product: Original Cinn – this liqueur is a 90 proof cinnamon schnapps. Whoa.  I had Stephanie check out my review policy and tada this is what appeared on my door step just a few days later…

Thanks NOVA Marketing

Original Cinn came with several friends “lust” “gluttony” “greed” “sloth” “envy” “pride” and “wrath” … aka vodka, schnapps, whisky, and whatever Kahlua is.

Here they are…um…naked?

Thanks NOVA Marketing!

Though I probably shouldn’t refer to anything a naked because that is probably how I’ll end up after playing bartender with all this.  I seriously have never had this much alcohol in my apartment. ever. EVER.

I think I’m going to have a real party … soon!
